UNFI, MY SPECIAL PRAYER

I began my journey as a UNFI scholar in 2022 — my first step in navigating the life of being disciplined, spiritually-centered, and full of growth as a scholar. It was indeed challenging to be granted this opportunity, but these challenges cannot be compared to the meaningful experiences that brought me into becoming a successful scholar. This is one of the reasons why I am so grateful that I had the privilege to be a scholar of UNFI. Through this journey, I found resiliency and determination to persevere in my study and life while bearing a relentless faith.

To Ma'am Fanny Lim, I would like to offer my warm and sincerest gratitude for being one of God's instruments in fulfilling His orchestrated plan for me when it comes to my education. Thank you for trusting my academic skills and allowing me to be part of your organization. When you gave me the chance to be interviewed during the initial screening for the scholarship, I found hope to cling on to my dreams. It was truly an answered prayer  — a redirection after being rejected by the two dream state universities I had dreamed of attending. I will always bring all of your shared wisdom as I now conquer my career path.

To the United Neon Media Group, allow me to utter my gratitude for your company as being one of the foundations in supporting my education. The aid you offered was not just about financial aspects, but likewise your genuine commitment to serve the foundation with your fullest ability to extend your hands in serving the scholars. 

To UNFI’s partners and donors, I would like to express my appreciation for your kindness in assisting the beneficiaries of the foundation. As one of them, I am very grateful for all of your donations, benefits, and support that made me survive my college life. No matter how small or big there were, I am wholeheartedly thankful for your hearts as you always initiate to give without hesitations. 

To my former co-scholars, my life in UNFI would not have been bright as it was without your several aspirations that I witnessed. These aspirations reignited my inner child's ambitions, which motivated me to work hard on my dreams. Thank you for the happy and insightful memories such as those during retreat, scholars' meet-ups, Elevates, and casual interactions. I will never forget the times we shared our dreams, acted on it, and fought for it. I hope that I will see each of you reaching God's perfect plan for your academic journey as well as the life after it. 

And to the United Neon Foundation Inc., my words would fall short in expressing my gratefulness for keeping and taking care of me as your scholar. Thank you so much for being one of my special prayers in my life, especially when it comes to my academic path. Thank you because right now, I write this letter not as a student, but a graduate — an amazing transition in my life. I believe that the tuition fees, allowances, and other financial needs for my education that you entrusted to me are truly the evidence how God uses others to reveal His perfect plan. I started college with an anxious heart —thinking if I would be able to finish it, but truly God amazed me with how He worked out things for me by means of your foundation. Thank you, UNFI, for granting me a sight to see beyond my fears and doubts about my education. True to your mission, you indeed transformed my life, not just academically, but also my holistic aspects. Thank you so much, UNFI! Continue to touch, strengthen, and transform lives with the purpose you have!
